MDO Update
Prexy Jomarie handed me over some CDs containing photos of her recent Mainit visit. As usual (well, just our second eyeball in the Pasig area), we met up at the Art Gallery of SM Megamall. Ma-late man o dili... malingaw ra isab sa art works na naka display didto. BenCab's water-based acrylic painting on square ceramics are on display at The Crucible. We also saw two interesting "archives" from the Old Manila gallery: 1) a P2,500-a-piece 1919 Old Surigao map - the current norte and sur provinces were still one and was composed of only 14 municipalities, and 2) a P850+ hard-bound copy of Fr. Shreurs' Caraga Antigua' 2nd Edition.
Back to MDO eyeball. Ernie Banzon and wife joined in too... we met them for the first time. Ernie speaks Mainitnon but now claims Tagalog as his prefered tongue having technically grown-up in Manila since grade-five. We had interesting talks about our little town. Jo updated us too about the highlights of their trips. I've browsed the CDs.... and MDO, prepare for the flooding of Mainit pics (hmm will try to limit the posting to be sensitive to fellow dial-up users!) ... Ybong and Bumbum were the stars from pamutong... to tagbuyawan... to the haloween costume party... lingaw!
