Baby Yonie is in the hospital

We brought Baby Yonie to the Medical City (Pasig) last night (2AM). We were very worried when he began crying continuously. His fever did not subside despite giving him paracetamol (Tempra) every 4 hours the whole day of Friday. We noticed some mouth sores too and he doesn't like to bottle feed.

This afternoon, his pedia came to notify us that she ordered a repeat blood test because the WBC in Yonie's blood is unusually high. With dextrose and some spray for his mouth, Baby Yonie is able to sleep, but still no regular milk.

The three of them had fever last Friday. When I went home, the fever of the older kids had faded. We gave Aurens Ibuprofen (Dolan). Thanks God, we don't have to bring them to the hospital.

When we were panicking last night, Teng called his nephew who is a doctor. Their two kids have flu too, including him. When I texted a friend doctor, her only child had fever too. Yonie's pedia has around 10 patients admitted here in the Medical City. A number of them have Dengue Fever.

Careful parents... if your kids have fever and OTHER symptoms (nosebleeding, red patches, etc), go to the doctor immediately.
